Two separate stabbings in Glendale left 4 people injured, 3 of whom were hospitalized, on Sunday night, police say.

Glendale police say the stabbings happened within 20 minutes of each other and are unclear as to whether either incident was gang-related.

The first stabbing was reported at 7:44 p.m. in the area of Dryden Street and San Rafael Avenue, according to officials.

Details are limited, but preliminary reports say an unknown amount of people engaged in a brawl, during which three people were stabbed.

The suspect fled the scene, police say, and all three victims were transported with minor injuries.

The department has not provided a suspect description and says the investigation into this stabbing is ongoing.

Police say the second stabbing happened soon after, around 8:03 p.m., in the 100 block of Windsor Road.

A man, who officials say may have been under the influence, was allegedly hanging around the area when a group of men asked him to leave.

The man did not want to leave and ended up stabbing one person during the conflict, according to police.

Officials have not provided further information as to how the situation escalated to violence, but confirm that the suspect was detained and taken into custody.

Police did not immediately release the identity of the suspect.

The stand-alone victim purportedly had minor injuries and declined to be transported.

Police say the scene has since been cleared and the investigation is no longer active.
