14-year-old Irvine student arrested for online threat of school violence

A 14-year-old scholar from Irvine was arrested Tuesday after posting threats on-line in opposition to his faculty.

Police had been made conscious of a collection of social media posts Tuesday suggesting a faculty capturing was going to happen the upcoming Friday.

Moreover, the writer posted a listing of first names that appeared to coincide with a number of college students that attend Orchard Hills College.

Authorities investigated the posts and decided the individual chargeable for the posts was a 14-year-old scholar on the faculty.

Later Tuesday, the scholar was arrested for prices associated to the posts.

“It doesn’t seem the scholar meant to hold out the threats nor does it seem he had entry to a firearm,” Irvine Police mentioned.

The identification of the scholar isn’t being shared on account of his age.
