10 injured in Universal Studios tram crash

Ten people were injured after a tram at Universal Studios Hollywood crashed on Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a crash at the theme park around 9:13 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

Emergency crews found 10 people injured at the scene after a studio tour tram had overturned.

Nine people were found with minor injuries while one person was found with critical injuries, authorities said.

It’s unclear what caused the tram to overturn.

The Studio Tour remains one of the theme park’s most popular attractions, taking riders on a one-hour backlot tour of some of the most iconic film sets in Hollywood history.

Throughout the tour, guests will experience several interactive elements including animatronics, 3-D motion elements, sound stages with special effects, and more.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear as authorities are responding to the scene.
