Rep. Waltz hits back after Psaki calls Florida parental rights law ‘harsh’

Florida Rep. Michael Waltz defended the state’s new Parental Rights in Training regulation, saying it is ‘unacceptable’ to show sexuality to younger kids, after White Home press secretary Jen Psaki referred to as the regulation “politically charged” and “harsh.”On “Fox & Associates” Tuesday, Waltz informed Pete Hegseth the regulation permits dad and mom to take again management of their kids’s training and requires a return to instructing fundamentals like studying and writing.

REP. MICHAEL WALTZ: We shouldn’t be instructing sexuality to 5-year-olds, to pre-kindergartners, to first-graders, second-graders. It is simply unacceptable. That sort of concern, even when it might come up – I do know you are you are a dad, Pete. So am I – I do not see that arising with 5, 6, 7-year-olds. However to the extent it does, that must be dealt with at residence, primary. 

Quantity two: Proper now, the USA is sitting thirty first on the planet in math, and I consider ninth or tenth in studying. Let’s train studying and writing to our kindergartners by way of first-graders. And, on the core of this, is dad and mom taking their kids’s training again. It is a parental invoice of rights when it comes to taking cost of their training in Florida. And that is what this invoice goes to do. And it is supported by a majority of Floridians.
