An F-16 fighter jet that reportedly belonged to the Oklahoma Nationwide Guard crashed close to a U.S. Military base in Louisiana on Wednesday.

The F-16 fighter jet crashed close to Ft. Polk in Louisiana, and the pilot ejected with no accidents, a Louisiana State Police spokesperson instructed The Advocate. 

“The pilot was capable of eject safely from the aircraft and was later picked up by the navy personnel,” he stated.

There have been no others on board, in line with the police.
