Miami (Fla.) Palmetto 2025 athlete Patrick Lawrence was excited to hear from West Virginia and even more so when he found out that the Big 12 program was offering a scholarship.

Lawrence, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, hadn’t been in contact with the Mountaineers prior to wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall stopping by his school but he was glad that he did.
