West Virginia Running Back Room Ranked Top 10 in College Football – Blue Gold Sports
According to rankings released by PFF college football analyst Max Chadwick, the West Virginia Mountaineers have the 10th-best running back room in college football.
WVU had one of the best rushing attacks in FBS last season, with over 3,000 yards gained on the ground. Freshman running back Jahiem White lead the attack with 842 rushing yards, averaging 7.7 yards per carry on the season.
White, was followed by sophomore running back CJ Donaldson, who had 798 rushing yards. Donaldson added the second-most touchdowns on the ground with 11, trailing only quarterback Garrett Greene.
The thunder-and-lightning combination of Donaldson and White is a running back duo that may continue to be highly revered come the end of next season, with White only emerging midseason in 2023. They are joined in the backfield by Jaylen Anderson, a rising redshirt junior who’s added over 400 rushing yards and three touchdowns in his career at WVU and incoming freshman Traevon Dunbar, who rushed for over 3,000 yards his senior year, becoming one of South Carolina’s top running back prospects.
