NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Three people were arrested Thursday in the Belva area of Nicholas County on child neglect charges, the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies said the arrests followed a shooting investigation near a home in Belva that resulted in a man being transported to CAMC General in Charleston.

Arrested on the child neglect charges were Bobby J. Moore, 28, Caroline A. Stewart, 32, and Connie S. Moore, 58, all of Belva.

Deputies said they found “unlivable conditions” for a child living at a home located along Old Turnpike Road.
