Marshals want help tracking down man wanted for attempted murder and kidnapping – WV MetroNews

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — U.S. Marshals are requesting help from the public in finding a fugitive in North Central West Virginia.

Jamie Ray Jones, 30, is wanted on a West Virginia state warrant for attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping. He is the suspected driver who crashed into multiple vehicles Wednesday near the University Town Center in Morgantown.

According to Marshals, Jones has a history of having weapons, violent tendencies, and also fleeing.

Jones is described as being 5’11” and weighing around 160 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair. He is considered to be dangerous.

Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 304-623-0486 or call 911. Tips may also be submitted via the USMS Tips app.
