BECKLEY, W.Va. — One person is dead after a fire early Thursday morning in Beckley.
The blaze took place in a single story house in the 800 block of Oakwood Avenue.
Authorities said the fire was reported at just before 1 a.m. Firefighters found a person dead and a second person injured.
The second victim was rushed to a hospital. Their condition was not immediately released.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office and Beckley Fire Department are investigating the cause of the blaze.
