Martin plays football in Huntington, W.V. where he’s also won a state title in wrestling. He lists himself as a four-star recruit on Twitter but it is unclear where that rating comes from as all four major recruiting outlets have him as a three-star.
That being said, ESPN, On3 and 247Sports all rank him as the top player in West Virginia for 2024. Rivals doesn’t rank West Virginia recruits. His national interior line ranking varies from No. 20 (Rivals) to No. 40 (On3).
In a past interview with WVSN, Martin described himself as big, versatile and physical. He said he’s always been a West Virginia fan growing up and wants a family atmosphere at his future program.

He’s only taken two official visits so far to West Virginia (June 9) and NC State (June 16). According to Rivals he is taking another unofficial visit to West Virginia this weekend.
WV Sports Now will keep you up to date with Martin’s recruitment.
