Woman Found Fatally Shot Inside DC Hotel: Police
An 18-year-old lady was discovered lifeless from a gunshot wound inside a resort room in Northeast, D.C., authorities say.
Stories of individuals listening to a gunshot contained in the Hilton Backyard Inn led police to its location at 1225 First Avenue NE at about 10 p.m. Saturday. Officers arrived to discover a resort room’s door ajar with a girl inside affected by gunshot wounds, in keeping with the Metropolitan Police Division.
The sufferer was pronounced lifeless on the scene. She was recognized as Akira Wilson, 18, of Southeast, D.C.
The resort is positioned a mile from Union Station and a block from the NoMa-Galludet U Metro station.
D.C. police are working to seek out details about a suspect and what led to the capturing.
