Suspect Charged In District Heights Man's Murder Arrested In Washington, D.C.
PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — Detectives have charged a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in late September.
On Sept. 27 at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers were called to the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway for a report of a shooting. They found 30-year-old Daryl McCall of District Heights in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A second man was also shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Prince George’s Police Department.
A preliminary investigation indicated 33-year-old Frederick Stevenson of Washington, D.C., shot the victims during a dispute. The men knew each other, police said.

The PGPD’s Fugitive Unit, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Capital Area Regional Taskforce and the Metropolitan Police Department, found Stevenson and took him into custody in Washington, D.C.
Stevenson has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
