Saluda High students design ornaments for tree in Washington, D.C.
SALUDA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – Decoration designs by college students at Saluda Excessive Faculty are on show in Washington, D.C.
It’s a part of a show representing each state, territory, and extra. We talked to college students and their artwork trainer about why it means a lot to them to be those representing the Palmetto State.
“Simply terrible pleased with the scholars and the work they put in,” stated Wayne Bell.
It began in his artwork class. His college students spent weeks sketching their designs.
They simply researched somewhat bit about issues about South Carolina, after which they needed to design their decoration,” he stated.
They despatched 15 of the ornaments to Washington. Saluda Excessive was chosen to symbolize the Palmetto State within the 2022 Nationwide Christmas Tree Show.

One faculty from every state was chosen to design a tree surrounding the Nationwide Christmas Tree.
Tenth grader Haley Taylor designed two ornaments.

She went to D.C. after it was all carried out to see it.
