Police: Northeast DC homeowner fatally shoots 13-year-old boy – WTOP News

A home-owner in Northeast D.C. shot and killed a 13-year-old boy within the early morning hours on Saturday after witnessing him breaking into autos, police declare.

The home-owner allegedly shot the boy, later recognized as Karon Blake of Northeast D.C., throughout a confrontation with a registered firearm.

D.C. police stated that earlier than daybreak, at round 4 a.m., they responded to the 1000 block of Quincy Road, the place they discovered Blake affected by gunshot wounds. Police say the home-owner carried out CPR till they arrived.

The boy was transported to an space hospital, the place he was later pronounced lifeless.
