Museum for Black Girls Pop-Up Opens in Northeast DC

A brand new pop-up to have a good time Black feminine voices opens Saturday at Union Market in Washington, D.C.

The Museum for Black Ladies is an interactive artwork set up devoted to sharing the Black feminine expertise. The house will spotlight 10 featured artists and girls of coloration creating interactive performances, installations and occasions, in accordance with a press launch.

The founder says regardless of the identify, this museum is for everybody.

“We wish to say it’s an area to coach, encourage and encourage everybody,” Charlie Billingsley stated. “It’s an area to have a good time Black ladies and to have a good time our tales and the way we’ve developed.”

D.C. is the museum’s third location — it beforehand popped up in Denver and Houston.

It’s set to be open Thursdays by Sunday. Tickets price $28 for adults and $15 for youths.
