Mayor Bowser to Host 35th Annual 17th Street High Heel Race

(Washington, DC) – On Tuesday, October 25 at 7 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Mayor’s Workplace of Lesbian, Homosexual, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning Affairs will host the thirty fifth Annual seventeenth Avenue Excessive Heel Race.  
 
Neighborhood members are invited to the Dupont Circle neighborhood to cheer on costumed drag queens, drag kings, and group members as they race down the historic seventeenth Avenue NW. The race will cowl three blocks and final lower than 10 minutes, however festivities will happen all through the night. 
 
When: 
Tuesday, October 25 
*Festivities start at 7 pm
*Pre-race stroll will start at 8 pm
*The race will promptly start at 9 pm
