Man charged with murder after decapitated body found in Northeast DC backyard – WTOP News

A person has been charged with homicide after the stays of a decapitated physique had been present in a Northeast D.C. yard, police stated.

LaVaughn Barnes, 32, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree homicide whereas armed, based on police. Police stated Barnes confessed to killing the opposite man when turned himself in Wednesday.

The sufferer has not but been recognized.

Police stated the stays had been found within the yard of the house close to Kearny Road and thirteenth Road in Northeast D.C. on Feb. 3.

Police had been known as to the house and found {a partially} decomposed and decapitated human physique inside a black plastic trash bag, based on a search warrant.

The physique appeared to have a single gunshot wound to the stomach.

Barnes is predicted in D.C. Superior Courtroom on Thursday.
