A few of Washington, D.C.’s most acquainted landmarks had been constructed with the labor of enslaved folks, their accomplishments largely misplaced to historical past. Partly three of our sequence, “Hidden Histories,” we study a type of enslaved laborers, a sculptor named Philip Reid.
