DC Weather: Breezy and mild Friday with chance for scattered PM showers

The last day of the workweek kicks off with abundant clouds and noticeably milder air. A robust cold front advancing from the west will bring increased wet weather chances by afternoon and evening.

The highs for the day will be near the average, ranging from the mid-60s to about 70 degrees.

Wet weather chances have diminished with the latest forecast trends for Saturday. The winds will be the bigger story as they could gust to near 30+ mph at times. While the daylight hours appear dry, a few showers are possible Saturday night as a weak disturbance passes through, with most of the rain leaving the Mid-Atlantic before sunrise on Sunday.

Brace yourself for a cool day on Sunday, with temperatures struggling to reach 60 degrees and gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 miles per hour. Below-normal temperatures define Monday and Tuesday, raising the possibility of early morning cold weather alerts.
