DC police officer stabbed in face while serving bench warrant in Northeast
WASHINGTON – A D.C. police officer was stabbed within the face by a suspect in Northeast on Saturday, in keeping with investigators.
The Metropolitan Police Division stated the incident occurred round 1:10 p.m. within the 1000 block of Mount Olivet Highway.
Police stated an officer was within the space to serve a bench warrant to a suspect, however in the course of the arrest try, the suspect resisted and pulled out a knife.
The suspect then stabbed an officer within the face as they hit the officer a number of instances.

Police stated the officer suffered minor accidents and was handled on scene.
The officer has not been recognized.
The suspect was finally taken into custody. Investigators recognized the suspect as Tanesha Davis, 28, of Northeast, D.C.
Along with the costs for the excellent warrant, Davis can also be charged with assault on a police officer.
