DC man charged with killing 65-year-old in Prince George’s County over ‘ongoing dispute’

A D.C. man has been charged in reference to the lethal taking pictures of a 65-year-old man in Prince George’s County, in response to police.

Prince George’s County Police stated the incident occurred on the night of December 6 within the 1200 block of Abel Avenue in Capitol Heights.

Responding officers discovered 65-year-old Leon Steadham of Washington, D.C. on the scene struggling gunshot wounds. He was taken to an space hospital and later pronounced lifeless.

On Friday, PGPD investigators introduced that 37-year-old Michael Malachi Ford of Washington, D.C. has been arrested for the taking pictures.

Ford faces a number of prices in reference to the incident, together with first diploma homicide. Police stated he’s being held in custody in D.C. whereas he awaits extradition to Prince George’s County.

Based on investigators, Ford and Steadham knew one another previous to the incident, including that the taking pictures stemmed from an ongoing dispute.
