A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

7/10: Cloudier than recently. Mild and dry enough to get outdoors, though!

  • Today: Mainly cloudy. Afternoon showers? Highs: low to mid-60s.
  • Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lows: mid-to-upper 40s.
  • Tomorrow: Scattered showers, especially south. Highs: 51-56.

It’s been a stormy winter until the last 10 days or so. This in mind, it should be little surprise that we’re heading back into a less tranquil pattern up ahead. Any rain today is pretty inconsequential. That may not be the case Sunday and especially with the storm passing late Monday into early Tuesday. And for now, still no real snow threats to concern ourselves with.

Today (Saturday): Lots of clouds through the day. Some showers may roam, especially in the afternoon. They don’t amount to much, if so. Highs should end up in the low and mid-60s in most spots. Winds blow out of the south around 5 to 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: There could be a shower early, but most of the night is dry. A cold front will sink to the south late, which helps shift winds to come from the north by dawn. Lows mainly in the mid- and upper 40s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): Rain is more likely than today. It may be the case that any appreciable stuff stays south of the city, but perhaps up to a tenth of an inch nearby and probably less to the north. Behind the front, with clouds and some rain, temperatures head for the low 50s. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Any rain from the day should end at night. It’ll stay cloudy as lows end up in the upper 30s to mid-40s. Confidence: Medium

Clouds should remain numerous for the start of Monday. Odds of rain are up over time. The best chance for moderate to occasionally heavy rain is probably late in the day into the night as a low-pressure area approaches from the south and west. Probably near or a bit past 50 for daytime highs, then falling into the mid-30s to near 40 at night with rain continuing. Confidence: Medium

Rain may end as some wet snow early Tuesday morning, especially north and west of Interstate 95. Since pretty much everyone should remain above freezing, don’t plan on it doing much. Precipitation ends during the morning ahead of a gusty afternoon featuring highs in the mid- or upper 40s. Confidence: Medium
