2 Alexandria veterans tour historic sites in Washington, D.C.
ALEXANDRIA — Two Alexandria veterans not too long ago returned from Washington, D.C. on the Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota.
Roger Strelow, U.S. Military, and Bernie Rachel, U.S. Air Drive, each veterans of the late a part of the Korean Period, together with 100 different veterans, have been friends on the flight from Fargo’s Hector Worldwide Airport to Washington, D.C.
They toured most memorials from the Capitol and White Home, Nationwide Archives, Navy Museum, Air Drive Memorial, Arlington Nationwide Cemetery, Phrase Struggle II Memorial, Vietnam Wall, Korean Struggle Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Fort McHenry and lots of different factors of curiosity.
The veterans have been in D.C. for 3 days and have been handled like royalty with free meals, lodging and transportation in D.C., and free flights, together with free guides and companies.
Once they arrived again at Hector Worldwide Airport in Fargo, there was a big reception with a giant band and many individuals to welcome them dwelling.
Each Strelow and Rachel expressed a lot gratitude and lots of thanks for “an awesome and great expertise.” In addition they advocate any veteran who’s eligible to use for additional honor flights.
