Virginia’s sales tax free weekend is Aug. 5-7

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Every year in early August, and with the costs of necessities persevering with to rise, Virginia’s gross sales tax vacation couldn’t come any sooner.

The gross sales tax vacation begins Friday, Aug. 5 at 12:01 a.m. and ends Sunday, Aug. 7 at 11:59 p.m.

• Clothes and footwear for $100 or much less per merchandise

Hurricane and emergency preparedness merchandise

• Transportable mills for $1,000 or much less per merchandise
• Fuel-powered chainsaws for $350 or much less per merchandise
• Chainsaw equipment for $60 or much less per merchandise
• Different specified hurricane preparedness objects for $60 or much less per merchandise

Vitality Star™ and WaterSense™ merchandise

• Merchandise bought for noncommercial residence or private use for $2,500 or much less per merchandise
