Virginia Tech’s Kitley taken by Las Vegas in WNBA Draft
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WDBJ) – The Las Vegas Aces selected Virginia Tech center Elizabeth Kitley with the 24th overall pick in the second round of the WNBA Draft on Monday.
Kitley played five seasons with the Hokies, earning three consecutive ACC Player of the Year honors over the past three seasons. She helped lead Virginia Tech to an ACC Tournament championship and a Final Four appearance in 2023.
Kitley is expected to miss the upcoming WNBA season while recovering from a torn ACL that ended her final season at Virginia Tech right before the ACC Tournament.
The Hokies’ all-time leading scorer, Kitley will have her uniform No. 33 retired by Virginia Tech this upcoming season, the school announced this past weekend.
