Virginia FFA introducing new “Growing America’s Farmers” program with Harris Teeter and Virginia Produce

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Virginia Future Farmers of America are partnering with Harris Teeter for a great trigger. It’s a part of the brand new “Rising America’s Farmers” program.

Saturday morning college students throughout the commonwealth have been promoting corn and onions to help agriculture training. Some made their technique to Charlottesville’s Barrack’s Highway location.

College students say training like that is vital, even for people who find themselves not going to pursue agriculture.

“The proceeds will go in the direction of scholarships to assist college students proceed their training, which is extraordinarily vital as rising meals for our nation is a big want,” Virginia FFA State Reporter Lauren Rhodes mentioned.

College students say this can be a new partnership and so they hope to proceed it so it grows to be their largest fundraiser
