Red Cross of Virginia sending volunteers to help victims of Hurricane Ian

Va. – The Crimson Cross of Virginia is deploying volunteers to assist these impacted by Hurricane Ian.

It’s a two-fold response – the Crimson Cross can also be prepared to answer any impacts right here in Virginia.

The non-profit is sending 15 volunteers and workers members to Florida to assist on the bottom, and plans to ship much more volunteers over the approaching weeks.

“This can be a response that’s not solely going to final weeks, it’s going to doubtlessly final months and even years to begin to rebuild these communities and get them on the trail to restoration,” mentioned Jonathan McNamara, the communications director for the Crimson Cross of Virginia.
