Rainy Memorial Day weekend doesn’t slow down lake-goers
MONETA, Va. (WSET) — The wet weather Memorial Day Weekend hasn’t stopped folks from hitting the lake.
Bridgewater Marina on Smith Mountain Lake was open for business on this unofficial start to summer. They said people still came out for a fun weekend on the water despite the rainy conditions.
“The weather has affected us a little bit, but we’ve still been pretty busy. Still sending plenty of boats out, had a lot of customers go out and have a great time out there on the lake,” said General Manager Brandon Crawley. “With the weather being nice and definitely all the kids being out of school, we expect definitely weekends to be booming out here at Bridgewater Marina and the plaza,” he added.

Crawley said that whether you’re preparing for a summer on the lake, or simply left something at home, they have all you need, from boat rentals to life jackets and much more.
