RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) – Virginia residents must file their tax return by the top of Tuesday. November 1 is the deadline for Virginia’s earnings tax submitting extension.

If residents need to be eligible for the one-time earnings tax rebate, that deadline can also be Tuesday.

Taxpayers can file electronically or ship it by mail by the top of the day Tuesday.

If residents ship it by way of the mail, a Roanoke earnings tax coordinator defined to get it postmarked on the submit workplace with the date, or residents gained’t be eligible for the rebate.

”Due to the world that we’re in, our mail goes to North Carolina and it doesn’t get postmarked till it will get there,” Lelia Ann Alvis stated. “So for those who simply put it within the blue field, you’re going to have a November 2 date on it.”
