VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Crews fixed a gas leak that closed a stretch of road in Virginia Beach early Wednesday morning.

The gas line rupture had closed all lanes on South Military Highway from Indian River Road to Drift Tide Drive.

The southbound lanes heading to Indian River Road are now opened. As Virginia Natural Gas crews continue to work, the northbound lanes will be gradually opened.
