24-year-old killed in crash, Virginia State Police investigating in Isle of Wight County

ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police is investigating after a crash in Isle of Wight County left one driver useless on the scene.

Police had been referred to as to research a single-vehicle crash on Brewer’s Neck Boulevard in Isle of Wight County on Sunday, June 19.

The crash occurred shortly earlier than 1 a.m. and concerned a 2017 Chevrolet Camero. In keeping with police, the motive force — a 24-year-old male, now recognized as Davont’a Aubrey Croker of Smithfield — was touring northbound at excessive velocity when he misplaced management of the car and ran off the roadway, placing a tree.

Croker was not sporting his seatbelt and was ejected from the car. He died upon impression, in line with police.

It’s unknown at the moment if alcohol was a contributing issue within the crash.

Croker’s subsequent of kin has been notified and Virginia State Police are persevering with to research.
