2 teens arrested after armed robbery in Virginia

DULUTH, MN. (Northern News Now) – Two teenagers were taken into custody after an armed robbery in Virginia on Thursday.

According to Virginia Police, authorities received a report of a robbery around 8:40 p.m. It happened near the 800 block of 5th Avenue South.

A 17-year-old told police he was robbed at gunpoint by people who he knew. The victim was not hurt in the robbery, but he told authorities the suspects took money and some of his personal property.

Virginia Police searched a home nearby, where they arrested two teenagers, who are 16 and 17 years old.

The suspects are being held at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center in Duluth and are expected to be charged.

Police did not say what led up to the incident.
