Texas’ Ivan Melendez sits at Kansas State with shoulder injury

One of many high sluggers in school baseball has been sidelined.

Junior Ivan Melendez was disregarded of the lineup utilized by Texas for its sport at Kansas State on Friday. Melendez was changed at first base by freshman Gavin Kash.

Melendez was faraway from Thursday’s 8-5 loss to the Wildcats with a shoulder harm. At some point later, a Texas spokesperson didn’t have an official replace on Melendez’s standing. In a pregame radio interview, UT coach David Pierce mentioned that Melendez was coping with a “sore shoulder” and wouldn’t play.
