Texas DPS investigating Killeen woman killed in major crash
KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a fatal crash that killed a pedestrian Friday morning on IH-14.
Texas DPS Troopers responded to a major crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle on IH-14 near mile marker 279 at around 4:35 a.m.
A 2023 Dodge Durango, driven by a 42-year-old Harker Heights woman, was driving westbound in the left lane on IH-14.
According to a DPS trooper, a pedestrian, identified as 38-year-old Latrina Cheree Williams, of Killeen, was walking in the left lane.
The Dodge Durango struck Williams, killing her on impact, according to Texas DPS.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been notified.
