No. 9 Alabama Travels West for Quad Meet at Texas Woman’s University – University of Alabama Athletics
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 9 Alabama gymnastics team will travel to Denton, Texas, for a quad meet in Kitty Magee Arena on Monday, hosted by Texas Woman’s University (3-6). The Crimson Tide’s seventh meet featuring at least one top-20 opponent will begin at 2 p.m. CT.
Monday’s meet will be the seventh contest for Alabama (5-2-1, 2-2-1 SEC) this season as the Crimson Tide is coming off a hard-fought loss to the then-No. 14 Auburn Tigers. Despite the outcome, UA captured multiple podium finishes as eight gymnasts either tied or set new season-high marks.

Head Coach Ashley Johnston Said
“We’re six weeks in with five weeks to go before the SEC Championships. This week, we’ve worked at digging into our process and figuring out what we need to tweak, what we need to change, to make sure that we are prepared for any situation we find ourselves in. We’re looking forward to competing at TWU this week – it will be a great quad meet format with four teams going. This meet allows us an opportunity to prepare and make sure that we have depth with multiple athletes ready to score at a high level.”
