Everything is bigger in Texas, including Arizona’s recruiting efforts under Brent Brennan.

The Wildcats have earned a commitment from 3-star Lubbock safety Allen Gant, the fourth pledge (out of nine so far) in the 2025 recruiting class from Lone Star State.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Gant is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 854 player in the 2025 class, the 74th-best safety in the country and the No. 137 prospect from Texas. He picked Arizona over offers from Georgia Tech, TCU and hometown school Texas Tech, among others.

Gant made an official visit to Tucson this weekend, making him the second recruit to commit to the UA on Sunday after being on campus. The other is 3-star in-state cornerback Dajon Hinton, who flipped from ASU.

Other commitments from this weekend are expected in the next few days as Arizona builds its first full class under Brennan. The 2025 class is currently ranked 59th nationally by 247Sports.
