West Tennessee doctor fatally shot Tuesday in exam room
A west Tennessee doctor was killed near Memphis Tuesday afternoon by a patient in an exam room.
According to Collierville Police, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Benjamin Mauck was shot and killed at Campbell Clinic on Poplar Avenue.
The incident was reportedly a single shooting and was never an active shooting situation.
Police have not released the name of the suspect, but say the person was taken into custody near the scene, shortly after running from the clinic.
