Titans expected to hire former Tennessee Vols quarterback Bo Hardegree of Jackson as QB coach | Report
The Tennessee Titans are expected to hire a home-state hero to their coaching staff for 2024.
The Titans will hire former Las Vegas Raiders interim offensive coordinator Bo Hardegree as their quarterbacks coach, according to a report from NFL Network. A Jackson native who played his college football at Tennessee, Hardegree worked with Titans coach Brian Callahan with the Denver Broncos in 2014 and has since worked as an offensive assistant and quarterbacks coach across the NFL with five different teams.
Hardegree, 39, was promoted to interim offensive coordinator after the Raiders fired coach Josh McDaniels midseason in 2023 but was not retained by coach Antonio Pierce. He had been the Raiders quarterbacks coach since 2022, following McDaniels from New England to Las Vegas.
Hardegree joins a Titans offensive staff led by Callahan, who will call plays, and offensive coordinator Nick Holz. Titans defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson also knows Hardegree; the two were on the same coaching staff with the New York Jets in 2019-20.
Despite spending his formative years in Tennessee, this will be Hardegree’s first time coaching in his home state. He played at Tennessee from 2003-06, appearing in one game for the Vols in his final season.
