Texas State defensive lineman Davon Sears Jr. entered the NCAA switch portal on Dec. 17, 2022.
The 6-foot-2, 290-pound redshirt sophomore appeared in 12 video games throughout the 2022 season for Texas State. Sears recorded 15 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, one quarterback hurry and two move break-ups in 2022.
He got here to Texas State from Ellsworth Neighborhood Faculty in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
Sears introduced his top-three switch locations on Jan. 1.
“Prime-three is Oklahoma, Tennessee, Penn State,” Sears announced.
Sears posted on social media he visited Tennessee on Thursday.
“College of Tennessee as we speak,” he announced. “Knoxville is such an exquisite metropolis.”
