Tennessee Titans at Detroit Lions: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 8 game

On paper, the Detroit Lions (5-1) vs. the Tennessee Titans (1-5) is a lopsided matchup, but it’s the NFL and anything can happen.

Tennessee surprised most of the league when it jumped out to a 10-0 lead against the Buffalo Bills with Mason Rudolph at quarterback. Then Buffalo woke up and scored 34 straight points for a blowout win. Things aren’t looking good in Tennessee, but an upset victory in Detroit could be a huge momentum boost.

There’s a new leader in the powerful NFC North after Detroit handed the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season. On a four-game win streak, the offense continues to find the endzone and is proving to be a legit Super Bowl contender.

Detroit’s won four straight games. Jared Goff is playing like an MVP candidate. The Lions have the NFL’s third-ranked scoring offense. The Titans won’t be able to score enough points to keep up with Detroit. This one might get out of hand early.

This one has blowout written all over it.

Jordan Mendoza: Lions 34, Titans 13

It should be a win if Tennessee doesn’t lose by more than 10 points. Fun fact: Detroit is looking for their first win over Tennessee this century. The last time it beat the team was in 1995 when it was the Houston Oilers.
