Tennessee reveals sweet alternate uniforms for Week 5 vs. South Carolina
Tennessee is Back in Black for Week 5 against South Carolina.
The Vols will be bringing back their Dark Mode jerseys that first debuted 2 years ago against the Gamecocks. Tennessee wore them for a few games last season, too.
It’s a sweet look. It’ll also be a nice look at Neyland under the lights with a 7:30 kickoff time.

This is the 5th unique uniform combination for Tennessee this season. The Vols wore Orange and White for Week 1 against Virginia, Artful Dodger Smokey Grays for Week 2, all white for Week 3 and all orange for Week 4 against UTSA.

The Vols are obviously in for a big one this week. South Carolina is 2-2 on the season with 2 “good” losses to North Carolina and Georgia. The Gamecocks downed Mississippi State in a game that was closer than it should have been.
The Gamecocks’ secondary leaves a lot to be desired, as does their offensive line. But that Spencer Rattler and Xavier Legette-led offense can absolutely push Tennessee defensively. The Vols have to get in Rattler’s face early to disrupt any flow before he can get going.
Saturday can’t get here soon enough.
