Tennessee cities ranked among most stressed in US, report says
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Tennessee city was ranked one of the top five most stressed-out cities in the U.S. and others were listed in the top 100, according to a recent report from WalletHub.
WalletHub measured nearly 200 cities across four components: work stress, financial stress, family stress and health/safety stress. Memphis was ranked the No. 4 most stressed city in America behind Cleveland, Detroit and Baltimore.
Other Tennessee cities on the list were Knoxville (57), Chattanooga (91) and Nashville (101).
“Money, health and the economy all remain top stressors, but around 3 in 5 adults don’t talk about their stress because they don’t want to be a burden on other people. Stress isn’t just harmful to individuals, though – by one estimate, workplace-related stress alone costs the country more than $300 billion per year,” WalletHub said.
