One dead after multi-county pursuit through Middle Tennessee

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A driver is dead after being stopped following a pursuit through multiple counties.

A pursuit of a vehicle that wouldn’t pull over for a traffic stop on Saturday crossed through Carroll County, Benton County, Humphreys County, Dickson County and Perry County before being stopped with spike strips, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was deceased following the stop, the sheriff’s office reported.

FOX 17 News has reached out to the Tennessee Highway Patrol for additional information.
