No. 8 Tennessee softball adds road game against Western Carolina to schedule
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The No. 8 Lady Vols have added another game to their 2024 schedule.
On Thursday, March 21, Tennessee will play Western Carolina in a road matchup in Cullowhee, North Carolina. First pitch against the Catamounts is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The decision to add another game to the schedule resulted from several missed games earlier in the season. The Lady Vols have had five total game cancellations this season against teams such as Baylor, Georgia Tech, UCLA, Florida State, and Missouri State.
This small schedule tweak won’t cause any disruptions for the Lady Vols, as this trip to WCU will open their Carolina road swing. Following Thursday’s game, they will head to Columbia to play South Carolina in a three-game series.
