No. 5 Tennessee tops No. 10 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -No. 10 Kentucky men’s basketball (15-5, 5-4 SEC) fell to No. 5 Tennessee (16-5, 6-2 SEC) 103-92 inside Rupp Arena Saturday night.

Freshman guard Rob Dillingham came off the bench to give the Wildcats a career-high 36 points in the loss, shooting 14-20 from the field and 6-8 from three-point range in 27 minutes. Fifth-year guard Antonio Reeves added 21.

Freshman guard DJ Wagner missed his second consecutive game due to an ankle injury and fellow freshman Reed Sheppard started in his place. Sheppard finished with 16 points and six assists.

For Tennessee, both Zakai Zeigler and Josiah-Jordan James each finished with 26 points.

Up next, UK goes down to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Tuesday night. Tip-off is set for 8:30 P.M. on SEC Network.
