Live Updates: Tennessee aims to draw even with Kentucky in Saturday Game 2
LEXINGTON, KY — Tennessee and Kentucky will get after it again Saturday afternoon for game two of the three-game Southeastern Conference series from Proud Park at 2 o’clock eastern time.
The No. 4 Vols (31-7, 10-6 SEC) dropped the opener 5-3 after surrendering three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. No. 3 UK (31-5, 15-1 SEC) scored two on a hard-hit ball past Billy Amick at third base in the frame. The play was originally scored as an error but later changed to a base hit.
Righty Drew Beam (5-1, 3.16 ERA) will get the ball for Tennessee, trying to tie the series at one game apiece. Lefty Dominic Niman (7-2, 3.40 ERA) will counter as the Cats will look to secure the series win on the chilly Saturday afternoon.
