COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) — A beloved grizzly bear on the Riverbanks Zoo and Backyard in Columbia died Saturday because of declining well being.

The grizzly bear, named Sundance, got here to the zoo along with his brother, Butch, at 9 months previous and was often known as the ‘sunshine bear.’

“Sundance had a delicate disposition, type eyes, and liked to work together along with his keepers,” Riverbanks Zoo and Backyard officers wrote in a Fb put up.

“Sundance liked to wrestle along with his brother Butch and at all times stored an eye fixed on his brother’s gap digging. Keepers joked that he was Butch’s foreman and oversaw all his onerous work.”

The neighborhood honored Sundance by posting images of him on the zoo’s Fb web page.
