South Carolina man arrested for child sex crimes after standoff in Garden City

GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KWCH) – Backyard Metropolis police arrested 22-year-old Justin Raines on a number of counts of sexual exploitation of a kid following a standoff on Wednesday.

Police mentioned the household of a 15-year-old contacted the division and mentioned their little one was concerned with Raines, who’s from South Carolina. Officers have been informed that Raines and the teenager had shared specific images with one another.

In the course of the investigation, police discovered that Raines had traveled to Backyard Metropolis and was staying at 3020 E. Kansas Avenue (AmericInn). Raines had barricaded himself in his room and was making suicidal feedback whereas having a knife. Officers went to the lodge and tried to barter with Raines, however he refused to return out of his room and give up to the police.

A search warrant was obtained, and police arrested Raines. He was taken to the Finney County Jail and booked on 9 counts of sexual exploitation of a kid (possession) and 9 counts of sexual exploitation of a kid (transmission).
