SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) — The South Carolina Division of Pure Sources’s law-enforcement division will provide boat inspections at public landings throughout the state throughout the Memorial Day weekend.

The SCDNR stated officers will carry out fast, thorough inspections to confirm that boaters have the required security gear and boat and motor registration for his or her watercraft earlier than launching.

The inspections are voluntary and never required, officers stated.
